Indonesian tenor William Prasetyo is based in London. He completed a Master of Performance in Vocal Studies at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in 2026, studying with Sarah Pring and Adrian Thompson. In 2026 he sang Basilio and Don Curzio in Le nozze di Figaro at the Berlin Opera Academy and Chevalier de la Force in Dialogues des Carmélites at Guildhall. His concert work includes tenor solos in Handel's Messiah and Puccini's Messa di Gloria. For eight years he sang with Jakarta's Batavia Madrigal Singers, winners of the 2022 European Grand Prix for Choral Singing.

Indonesian tenor William Prasetyo is based in London, where he completed a Master of Performance in Vocal Studies at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in 2026, studying with Sarah Pring and Adrian Thompson.

His operatic roles include Basilio and Don Curzio in Le nozze di Figaro at the Berlin Opera Academy and at Goodenough College, Chevalier de la Force in Dialogues des Carmélites at Guildhall, and Gherardo in Gianni Schicchi with Surabaya Opera Company. He has covered Tamino in Die Zauberflöte at the Berlin Opera Academy and Lechmere in Owen Wingrave at Guildhall, and sang in the chorus of Handel's Giustino at the Royal Ballet and Opera. His voice sits most naturally in Mozart and the Classical repertoire.

On the concert platform he has been tenor soloist in Handel's Messiah, directed by Benjamin Appl, Puccini's Messa di Gloria with Hillingdon Choral Society and Stainer's The Crucifixion with Jakarta Festival Choir. He also sang in A. E. Housman in Songs and Letters, directed by Iain Burnside, and was a finalist in Guildhall's Keith Bonnington Prize and English Prize Competition.

William's musical life began in choral singing. For eight years he was a member of Jakarta's Batavia Madrigal Singers, winning the European Grand Prix for Choral Singing in 2022. He also creates his own recital projects across the UK and Indonesia, including Homecoming in Jakarta in 2026. He sings in Italian, German, French and English.
